"Barb’s Cocoa"

Meet “Barb’s Cocoa”.  She is our Queen Bee.  Not only is she a beautiful chocolate Rocky Mountain horse, but she is also a wonderful broodmare.  She has gorgeous foals for us, and some of her offspring have been quite successful in the show ring.  You may have heard of “Barb’s Stormy Knight”.  “Barb” is a granddaughter of “Kilburn’s Chocolate Sundown”.   She has been color DNA tested, and does not carry red or bay.  She does have one copy of the cream gene, which is fairly rare, and she tends to pass that along to her offspring.

"Owen’s Strawberry Wine"

This lovely strawberry roan is “Owen’s Strawberry Wine”.  But we call her “Shortcake”.   She is a granddaughter of “Dock” and “Sam Clemon’s Tim”.  She has a sweet little gait and a disposition to match.  “Shortcake” is the gentlest mare on our farm.  She has beautiful babies, as you can see from the picture of her and her filly, “Phoebe”.  She tends to throw the color of the stallion she is bred to, but adds her roan touch as an overlay. “Shortcake” has been color DNA tested and carries one copy of the silver dapple dilution. She does not carry the bay gene.  “Shortcake” Foaled March 15th2008.  She gave birth to a chocolate filly with four white socks and a small blaze.

Check her out on the “For Sale” page.

"Coop’s April Morning"

Introducing “Coop’s April Morning”.

“April” is beautiful a silver buckskin, which is quite a rare color.  It means she is a buckskin, but has the silver dapple dilution which changes the black points to brown.   “April” is a great granddaughter of “Sewell’s Sam”, “Yankee” and “Sam Clemon’s Tim”.  Add her smooth gait and laid back temperament to her impressive pedigree and you have the potential for fantastic offspring.   She has been color DNA tested and carries one bay gene, one cream gene and one silver dapple gene.  She does not carry red. “April” gave birth to a beautiful red chocolate colt April 24th 2008.

Check out her foal on the “For Sale” page.

"Coop’s Jasmine Rose"

This one is Doug’s favorite, “Coop’s Jasmine Rose”.  She has been his show / trail horse for the past five years, so he’s a little partial.   She won three championships in 2005 at the Rocky Mountain International Show in Lexington KY, and numerous trophies and ribbons at other events.   “Jasmine” was born on our farm and foal imprinted.  She’s a full sister to “Barb’s Stormy Knight”, and a great-granddaughter of “Johnson’s Toby”, “Kilburn’s Chocolate Sundown” and “Choco”.  “Jasmine” has been color DNA tested and carries one copy of the cream gene, but no red or bay.

She gave birth to a beautiful chocolate filly March 30th.  Check her out on the “For Sale” page.

"Coop’s Haylee Sundown"

This is “Coop’s Haylee Sundown”.   She’s a great granddaughter of “Sam Clemon’s Tim”, “Kilburn’s Chocolate Sundown”, and “Johnson’s Toby”.  You will never meet a sweeter young lady.   She was born on our farm and “imprinted” at birth.   Haylee has been color DNA tested and carries one copy of the cream gene and one copy of the silver dapple dilution, but no red or bay.
